OPALHOUSE x jungalow: fall 2022
TARGET
As the lead textile designer for this multi-year partnership between Justina Blakeney of the Jungalow and Target’s Opalhouse brand, I collaborated with Justina and her team to digitally translate her artwork and textile designs into production-ready art.
I worked with a cross-functional team of 15 internal designers to ensure artwork was suitable for various fabrics, material applications, and wide-ranging product types such as bedding, bath, decor, kitchen, and wallpaper. This effort required attentional to detail and organization and resulted in an impeccable execution of the printed and woven textiles for the assortment.

CONTEXT
Here is where you can give insights to the “problem” this project was attempting to solve. What research and strategy provided the framework for the design? Here is a good place to provide strategic insights that kicked off the project in the first place. Add or delete image placeholders as you see fit.
PROCESS
This is where you “show your work” – how did you get to the final result? A great place for moodboards, work-in-progress imagery and storytelling. How did you collaborate interntally/externally? What were some roadblocks or successes that you experienced along the way? Add or delete image placeholders as you see fit.
THE FINAL PRODUCT
Finally, you can showcase where all the insights and work brought you: show off the product in its final form and share any successes or accolades that the finished product received. Did the collaboration perform exceptionally well in store sales? Did any of the products receive social media attention? Basically this is a place to show off the fruits of your labor and brag about the results!
Add or delete image placeholders as you see fit, but I would recommend keeping the 4x1 squares and one big hero image below at the very least.
**NOTE: Some of these images are placeholders that I grabbed from Justina’s blog to illustrate the visual storytelling – not sure if they are your work and even if they are, it probably makes sense to replace them with images that you know you have access to. If you leave them, I think maybe crediting Justina at the bottom makes sense.
